The average age of dairy farmers in Australia is 56 years of age, but Yarra Junction staff member Maddy Bennett is out to change that!

As the daughter of YJ’s long-term Farm Manager Julian, Maddy has grown up her entire life on the farm and is currently YJ Assistant Farm Manager.

Recently, Maddy has received two acknowledgements in the dairy field for her work, reflecting her potential as an influential farm manager in years to come:

🌟 A place on a Gardiner Foundation study tour program to visit Tasmanian dairies.

🌟An all-expenses paid trip to the USA with ST Genetics, who are responsible for herd testing worldwide.

Maddy’s innovative and data-informed approach to our dairy operation wonderfully complements her father’s expertise and experience and we look forward to hearing about Maddy’s experiences upon her return.
