Junior School Camps

Camps and excursions give our Junior School students the opportunity to explore different challenges and experiences away from home, as well as forge new friendships with their cross-campus buddies.

From outdoor adventures such as surfing, kayaking and abseiling at Camp Manyung and Rumbug to more educational adventures such as gold mining in Sovereign Hill or exploring the rich heritage of our nation’s capital Canberra, our junior school camps are designed to be age-appropriate, educational and fun-filled, focusing on experiences that encourage participation, cooperation, team building, problem solving and the growth of confidence in an enjoyable, supportive setting.

The camps extend over three to five days and take the students away from the comforts of home into a different environment with its own set of challenges, opportunities and expectations. These camps give our students time to be with one another, to share experiences that may be new and challenging, as well as the opportunity to get a better sense of themselves.

Each camp has its own array of initiative and group problem-solving tasks to encourage students to work together and develop a sense of team. As the camps progress, they also develop respect for each other’s suggestions and the individual skills that each of their group members brings.
